Urban Renewal Manager at the BPDA

As Urban Renewal Manager, I led special projects and guided community engagement and policy research for the transformative Urban Renewal process, which impacted 10% of Boston’s land area. A key achievement was designing and launching the Urban Renewal Dashboard, a user-friendly tool that improved public access to critical documents and data, including Land Disposition Agreements (LDAs), by integrating them into the Zoning Viewer. This work strengthened transparency and provided valuable resources for residents, policymakers, and stakeholders.Through this project, I gained GIS and archival experience, digitizing decades of urban renewal documents and organizing them into accessible formats. I also facilitated 23 urban renewal extension meetings, ensuring representation in every plan area, and testified at six City Council sessions to advocate for modernized accountability measures. My contributions bridged 65 years of urban history with forward-thinking policies and digital tools, redefining how the Boston Planning and Development Agency supports the city's evolving needs while fostering transparency and community engagement.
