The non-profit OxyVita project was aimed at helping vulnerable communities and health systems in developing countries.The OxyVita initiative emerged on February 18, 2020 in the context of the COVID-19 challenge, where the shortage of ventilators of ICU seriously hinders the care of the most serious patients. Faced with this situation, ennomotive launches a challenge in its platform for the design of an efficient, economic and scalable respirator in the context of the pandemic. Frede Jensen, a UK engineer with experience in developing newborn respirators, wins the challenge in 1 week, with a simple, robust and safe solution. The ennomotive team leads the development of the respirator and achieves the support of Lynthia, Vithas and many other institutions and individuals.
