      A team from the University of Brasilia that designs, builds, and tests off•road vehicles for SAE competitions to survive the severe punishment of rough terrain. It has project divisions of transmission, suspension & steering, brakes, and chassis, as well as administrative divisions, like marketing and aesthetics design. The experience provided:• Qualification in mechanical manufacturing processes: milling, turning, MIG welding, tube and sheet metal bending• Qualificarion in CAD using SolidWorks software; Finite Elements (CAE / FEA) using Ansys and Abaqus software, and programming using MatLab.• Experience in managing projects, people, and resources in a challenging environment with financial and time constraints;• Development of competition engineering, teamwork, communication and leadership skillsAs leader of the Transmission Design Division, was responsible for:• Design of a two-speed gearbox, which was manufactured and integrated into the vehicle making it possible to outstand in the traction challenge during a national competitionAs a General Team Leader, we've done:• Construction of a new vehicle with improvements in all project divisions;• Improvements to the organizational structure, logistical and administrative processes, and attracting new sponsors.
