Established in 1974, Fenn Wright & Manson is a leading British fashionwear brand in the retail and wholesale market with an emphasis on premium fabrications like silk, linen, cashmere and fine wool. I established the fabric sourcing and buying department, covering woven and cut/sew fabric and yarn. This was a complex undertaking that included designing end-to-end processes for sourcing, production and buying including collection strategy for the season, critical path and back-schedule planning, bulk price negotiations and strike-off sample approval. I helped the team hit several critical milestones to save costs, including a 40% reduction in average freight costs and a 30% reduction in core fabric prices. Show less
