    • Microsoft

      May 2017 - now
      Senior Deployment Technician

Responsibility: Implementing the deployment of Azure cluster racks, MOR’s and IDF equipment for new data center space on campus and legacy sites. For instance, I lead the team in deploying a large T2 networking stamp for a new data center’s IDFs. This included making sure they were staged on pallets for racking, verifying the power consumption and striping for each device, as well as making certain the physical location of all network devices was made by the team.Impact: Able to assist with and manage the implementation of large and x-large network and server cluster stamps for buildings included in our campus’ portfolio. Given the ever-growing capacity demands of Azure, and now AI, we can manage the ever-increasing projected capacity, hence sustaining revenue for Microsoft. Continued Growth: Currently I maintain and create power allocation spreadsheets for each site on campus and complete onboarding of new sites into Facility Planner. The purpose is to support DCPM’s planning and reservation of rack space to fulfill capacity requirements. I provide final approval of the reservation process for all incoming equipment, in conjunction with our campus’ CEFSE, to assure efficient use of space and power. Recently I have been involved with the Power Harvesting initiative for each data center within the campus. Making sure that maximum power allocation is maintained when satisfying capacity planning requests, which involves creating slot count spreadsheets aiding that team in what demands to send to our campus.
