  I worked as a server at a very popular ice cream shop in my hometown. I learned how to communicate with a wide variety of customers like the elderly, the very young, tourists, and foreign language speakers. I also learned how to work as a team to ensure every order was correct. Milkshakes, cakes, and sundaes all could have different requests and the employees all had to communicate to correctly create the treat.

  As an expo I pulled the food out of the cooking window according to the ticket order slips. I also would call out to the cooks the time the orders were at and when an appetizer was rang in. If we began getting behind I would tell the manager to hold the door for ten to fifteen minutes to give the cook's time to catch up. Lastly, if the servers had any questions or issues about a plate that was sent out they would come to me and I would talk to the cooks at the correct time or give them a solution to the problem myself.
