      Brand Ambassador

-As a brand ambassador for Primrose’s Kitchen, promotion and the sales figures of the brand is key. Brand knowledge is vital; both the ethos of the company and the products themselves must be clearly known and explained to potential customers. - I have developed communication and promotional skills, as the role requires potential customers to engage with the brand and the product itself. This relies upon clarity on the part of the Brand Ambassador, as well as a continued affable nature in order for the customer to potentially buy the product. Show less

    • Tonic Communications

      Jun 2018 - Aug 2018
      PR Assistant

As a PR assistant, I had a range of responsibilities: - In the later part of my internship, I was allowed to create press releases that were sent to both consumer and trade press, meaning that I had to write concisely and in a tone that reflected the client. - Managing the account bookings with our clients, and ensuring that everyone was abreast of any changes formed part of my internship. This meant being both organised and aware of any previous bookings that could collide. - By creating and amalgamating all coverage that had been secured in the previous month, I developed my Microsoft Excel and Word abilities. Often, I would have to summarise all the coverage secured in a word document, that would then be sent on to the client.- I had to familiarise myself with social media, and in particular the influencers on certain platforms. My role involved contacting them, and securing promotional content for our clients. Show less

As the Marketing Manager for Pycom, a tech start-up founded in 2015, I have rapidly built my knowledge of tech start-ups and IoT to promote our product portfolio and activities to a diverse global audience, from hobbyists to large corporates. I am responsible for:Research and content creation: • Tracking global and national IoT news, use-cases and the future of IoT from sources including IoT News, Tech Radar, TNW, Gartner and Forbes• Writing detailed blog posts for Pycom focused on IIoT, Industry 4.0, the different offerings of LTE-M and NB-IoT utilising reports from EY, Gartner, McKinsey and Berg Insights.Product training content • Learning to programme Pycom’s WiPy as part of Product Training. This involves using the programming language MicroPython (an offshoot of Python 3), learning how to use Pycom’s IDE plug-in, Pymakr, and collecting data using LPWANs and Pycom's device management platform, Pybytes.Product Promotion:• Copy creation for various purposes e.g. email promotion, Beta-product testingEvent planning: I am the event co-ordinator for Pycom's #GOINVENT World Series tour (2019/20), hosted by Pycom and their international sponsors in major cities worldwide. #GOINVENT IoT workshops are led by Pycom’s founders and utilise different LPWANS throughout the day. Show less - Writing the Social Media Brand Guidelines which enable others to post on behalf of Pycom. A prior requirement is that the posts adhere the guidelines that I have written, and so there is a continuity to the brand's online presence. This required a knowledge of both the brand, and the different social media platforms. Different platforms have different needs for a successful post, and this required a large amount of research so that our posts would have the largest reach. - Involved in copywriting aspects, drafting several pieces of copy that have gone on to be used in Kickstarter campaigns and online. I had to be aware of the tone that we wanted the brand to have, and had to create copy that worked cohesively using that tone. This meant that I had to write in a certain style, and make sure that each piece complied with that tone. - Acted as a proof-reader, checking documents that could potentially go out to investors, and so were required to have a very high standard of written English whilst also being succinct.
