      I started at Competition Specialties as an assistant to the Southern California lead inside salesmen. I would take overflow phone calls, field warranty issues and technical problems. A good portion of my assistant job was to do research and call customers back. This was my first real sales job with heavy commission compensation and I remember being shocked how bad some of the sales team service was. If it wasn't making a sale, they weren't interested. It was at Competition Specialties I learned the value of great customer service. Doing the research and calling customers back wasn't fun but it earned me an ever increasing number of loyal customers and 2 years later I was the lead inside salesmen for Northern California with my own assistant. My sales continued to increase steadily but I burned out on commuting in the rain from Olympia to Auburn and moved to Bend. Show less

      As the Service Manage at Import Performance, I oversee 5 technicians and 1 service writer. Import Performance services an average 50 vehicle per week with average repair orders of $400+. There are daily challenges and crisis I am called on to mitigate in order to keep jobs moving forward and customers happy. I try to run the shop like a doctor's office, each technician's time is accounted for down to the minute in order to maximize efficiency and profitability. I have helped develop a workflow system that minimizes miscommunication between the sales staff and technicians. We see an average of 8 new customers per week with half being referrals. Our marketing is minimal because our product and sales team is so great. Not having to sell on price is one of the greatest achievements for a business and Import Performance has achieved that.
