      As a co-founder I experienced the beginnings of this team as an NGO-like 60+ people group, the grueling process of downsizing for efficiency, and finally taking the next step by turning into a startup. Through this position, I continue to learn how to best utilize my members and also take harsh setbacks and criticism. The kinks of a startup is that there is always a silver lining around the cloud, so keeping a positive and persistent mindset proves vital in making things work out under inadequate resources.As an outsider looking in, I found the process of fact-checking highly similar to those of evidence-based medicine. Good journalism comes from using neutral investigation procedures before you make a conclusion on the facts. Report For Taiwan is a youthful news team that intends to focus on culture, education, and medicine. Its long-term goals involve its establishment as a trustworthy news source, motivation for Taiwan's progress into a more developed country, and a place where creativity can mesh with basic principles of journalism.
