  I was responsible for producing ads for daily publication, on schedule and within tight guidelines. Ads were laid out in Adobe InDesign, with the use of other Creative Suite applications. I developed a strong working knowledge of CMYK offset printing and general newspaper production workflow. I also occasionally managed special sections, which was my favorite part of the job.

  As an illustrator, I worked primarily in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and PhotoShop, contributing to several ATP books, including “Carpentry”, “Circuit Breakers”, and “HVAC.” My illustrations are featured prominently in these books, and I laid out many of the chapters.About 6 months in to my employment, I become a Digital Media Developer, where I did a variety of work using PHP, JavaScript, ActionScript, and Adobe CS to design and program websites and applications.

  Riverside Healthcare is the winner of multiple national awards and the largest employer in the Kankakee area. I am responsible for creating and maintaining all web content for the organization. I create web applications using PHP, JavaScript, and MySQL for both public and internal company use.Recent public-facing projects include riversideseniorlife.com/tour and riversidehealthcare.org/alzheimers-stories. A recent internal project is a system that lets employees create, administer, and bid in fundraising auctions. These projects used JavaScript libraries such as jQuery, 3js, and CreateJS. Show less

I wrote HTML templates, configured domains, and set up API integrations for mass emails, with over 1 million emails per day total volume. I created/enhanced lead collection and polling plugins for the company's Wordpress websites, created/enhanced Wordpress themes, contributed to an advanced Node-based mailing management tool, created a GoLang application to manage push notifications to mobile devices, and created React-based user interfaces.
