  1. Developed a framework using regression analysis and neural network to predict permanent deformation (rutting) in asphalt pavements and to find minimum permanent deformation. Correlated inputs were eliminated through principal component analysis and extrapolation in modeling was handled by adding an n-dimensional hyper-ellipsoid as input variables space to the optimization problem of finding the design parameters corresponding to the minimum permanent deformation. 2. Developed a framework for predicting pavement performance and finding the best performing pavement.3.Developed a predictive framework for dynamic modulus of asphalt pavements using neural networks and multivariate linear regression analysis4.Developed a predictive framework using finite element analysis and an inverse optimization algorithm to evaluate pavement performance obtained from field measurements of pavement strain due to the crane load.
