  In UpStreet I teach special needs children about the Word of God and His love for them. I and the other volunteers make sure that each child is safe from harm from themselves or other children. We have the children for only an hour a week, so it is important to make the lesson something they can understand in such a short time, while still being fun and engaging. I have to be flexible and adapt to each child's needs.In my woman's small group, I lead a group of 3 other women. We meet once a week to go over a Bible study and pray for one another and simply support one another. During this past 18 months, I have developed two of the other women into leaders and they will be co-leading a small group of their own, while I and the other lady will be adding more woman to our existing group. In short, I develop and encourage each woman to become a leader in the church and develop a stronger personal relationship with Jesus Christ, while leading by example. Show less
