  I was hand selected for commissioning as a Naval Officer and Chaplain in 2002. My responsibilities as a Naval Chaplain were to ensure the free exercise of releigion, to provide pastoral care to servicemembers and their families, to be the moral and ethical advisor to the Commanding Officer, and to tend to the spiritual aspect of the unit in effectively completing the assigned mission.
