Inspect, test, and maintain avionics equipment. Troubleshoot using publications, wiring diagrams and schematics to find discrepancies. Coordinate with subbordinates to order parts for replacing any faulty components. Obtain knowledge on inducting workables and issuing repaired items back to other divisions. Induct, repair, and issue in an efficient manner to have less of an impact in workflow with the available manpower.Performed biweekly checks on aircraft equipment using hand tools, oscilloscopes, and multimeters/ohmmeters to prevent 50% of errors such as corrosion or frayed wires.Analyzed, maintained, and repaired faulty components on 15 separate aircraft sub-assemblies using 20 different schematics to produce a status of 90% satisfaction rate.Managed over 300 assets each valued more than $200K distributed throughout 7 different aircraft divisions without any loss of equipment.Taught 80 employees over 1,000 hours of effective assembly and harmonization on test equipment worth up to $3M over a period of 3.5 years Show less

Teach employees the proper ways of building a quality A5 aircraft. Ensure timely delivery of aircraft. Using programs like Excel and Google Docs, track the daily output of the team and delegate high priority tasks for the day. Build interpersonal relationships with subordinates, learning the difference between leading and influencing. Inspire workers to perform at their best and motivate them to pursue promotions.Created 2 "splash molds" using fiberglass to create a trim template for the technicians to use. These tools reduced the install time of the operation by 3 hours allowing technicians to easily trim without the risk of trimming by eye and allowed them to create a uniform product every time without any errorsUtilized Lean methods by holding 7 different Kaizen events. These time studies helped the Manufacturing Engineers update their work instructions, so technicians weren't taking any extra steps to complete operations. Those wastes were then worked on and changes were implemented to give the techs the tools necessary to no longer leave the station for anything.Analyzed and determined the root causes of several re-occurring problems by taking measurements and verifying tolerances using computer programs such as creo 3d modeling and various engineering drawings. The troubleshooting, being lengthy in nature, determined the non-conformances and allowed us to relay the information to the engineers who would then either re-design, or allow us to rework the parts to bring them up to spec.Reworked inventory items in bulk by using drill presses, belt sanders, tap and die kits, reamers, gauge pins and grinders. An example of a reworked item is a water rudder puck that had incorrect threads machined into it from the vendor. The rework consisted of taking the puck to a drill press, enlarging the diameter of the holes to remove existing threads, and tapping the holes with the new thread pitch Show less Study, read, and understand the schematic diagrams, blueprints, product manuals, process documents, and gather information regarding its parts, fixtures, tools, etc. Set up, arrange, and operate equipment as per the specifications and instructions from the supervisor. Assemble parts or components to build an amphibious aircraft that is airworthy and seaworthy. Contribute in fitting, building, or reconstruction of various parts to ensure smooth processes. Perform regular test and inspection procedures to ensure that the product is formed in accordance with the specifications. Implement and identify needs for improvement by conveying it to the senior personnel, so that quality of products is maintained.Assembled and sub-assembled components for ASN-2 through ASN-16 using over 200 different engineering drawings to produce 13 completed products.Managed and transported over 60 serialized BRS parachute and rocket pairs each valued more than $10K without any accidental misfires.Reduced the assembly time of several 48-hour operations to 4 total hours by recording measurements, creating formulas, and drafting work instructions which formed a baseline for 50 additional employees.Lead teams of 4 to 5 coworkers over the course of 5 months in the effective assembly of 6 specific systems. This mentoring improved the skillset of entry-level mechanics into adaptive and knowledgeable aviation technicians Show less
