    • McMaster University

      Feb 2007 - now

In this position I have been responsible for the management of numerous projects that affect both the faculty and University community as a whole. While I continue to manage projects of an academic nature, I have expanded to include business critical systems, student and staff information systems, and other custom software projects. Key to this position has been the ability to clearly define project deliverables, manage staff activities to insure they are met, and establish clear and effective channels of communication with clients. Given the size of some projects, I have also had to take on more financial duties to insure budgets are met and transparent to all parties. Finally, in this position, I have been able to create and maintain relationships with other technical and academic specialists from across Canada, and collaborate on projects between universities across Ontario. Show less For several years I served as an Instructional assistant in the Faculty of Health Sciences Computer Services Unit. In this position I have been responsible for the enrichment of new and existing curriculum using relevant teaching technologies. I have played a major role in the campus wide web-conferencing initiative, which led to McMaster University being a vendor selected Center of Excellence in 2009. I have aided in developing many enterprise level projects within the FHS including CASPer (School of Medicine), Events Tracking Assistant (ETA) Rounds & Information system, Inventory of Science (IOS) and others. Academically I have helped design and implement educational technologies across the FHS including student portals, Learning Management systems, online survey and evaluation systems, lecture archiving and online learning modules. I currently act in a primarily consultation and project management capacity within the CSU. In this capacity I often collaborate with several technology groups across campus including the CLL, UTS, and the DELI. Show less
