Awarded Certificate for Technical Poster on " Lateral Buckling Analysis of Offshore Single Pipe and Pipe and Pipe (PIP) system" Offshore- MIddle East 2013 Jan 2013 This paper aims to observe the buckling behavior of single pipe and ‘pipe in pipe’ (PIP) system using Finite Element Analysis tools. Finite Element Analysis software (Ansys) is used for modeling the single pipe and PIP systems with a vertical out of straightness (imperfection) induced on the pipeline. Pipe is modeled as beam element and soil as spring element i.e. a discrete soil friction model is developed. A transient buckling analysis is performed
