  EMT Melanoma Project

  Superviser-Prof. Dr. Mohit Kumar Jolly (Assistant Professor, Centre for BioSystems Science and Engineering, IISc Bangalore)• Used R studio to find the EMT 76GS and EMT KS scores of various RNA Sequence datasets and Microarray datasets. Thenthe correlation between the 76GS and KS scores of all the datasets were analysed using pandas, matplotlib library in Python.Also worked on finding the correlation among various other genes like MITF,FOS,ETV5,STAT5A,ZEB2 and seventeen others.• MCP-counter was used to find Tumor Purity of the same datasets.Using Biomart,Gene IDs were converted to Gene Symbolsand then mapped with the Gene Expression Matrix.Then correlation of EMT Scores with immunoproteasomes was obtained.• ESTIMATE algorithm was used to find the Tumor Purity, ESTIMATE score, Stromal score and Immune Score for the datasets Show less

  Evolution of Refreezing Tolerance Experiment

  • Worked on finding out the survival rate of Yeast after freezing it into liquid nitrogen and thawing in normal water for three times.• Innoculated the solution everyday which was followed by plating and imaging to count the number of colonies that survived.• Observed a massive increase in survival fraction of wildtype Yeast from 2% to 72% after 20 continuous cycles of freeze-thaw.
