Managed $170 mm annual capital budget for the entire Selkirk business unit.Responsible for overall operations in both Southlands and Crossfield areas.Supervised Southlands and Crossfield operations and engineering staff. Managed overall exploration activities in Ferrier area. Worked with geologists, geophysicists and landmen to find new Mississippian gas reserves and to develop existing pools.Optimized gas production through acid stimulation and compression installation. The 1999 optimization program resulted in a 10.0 mmscfd production increase.Increased net gas production from 3.0 mmscfd (1998) to 45.0 mmscfd (2000). Responsible for overall development and activities of the Wembley area (150 wells, 3000 bbl/d of oil) including optimum depletion and optimization of several operated oil and gas reservoirs in the area.Formed two units and implemented two waterfloods with reserve addition of 5.0 mmbbl.Doubled Wembley area oil production to 3000 bbl/d through waterflooding and infill drilling. Designed, monitored and optimized waterflood projects in the Bashaw area including preparation of annual capital expenditure and justification. Evaluated acquisitions of a number of oil and gas properties and pools including technical and economics aspects, resulting in purchases and swaps of $10 million.Tripled Bashaw area oil production to 6000 bbls/d through waterflooding and Good Production Practice (GPP). Conducted a number of simulation studies to determine optimum depletion strategies and feasibility of enhanced oil recovery, resulting in substantial infill drilling programs in Countess "D" and Halkirk "I" pools; with horizontal drilling and planned miscible flood in the Weyburn Field in Saskatchewan.
