      - Fieldwork support worker for a mixed-method research study into youth ARV adherence with Oxford University and the University of Cape Town based in East London, South Africa. - Qualitatively interviewing and working one to one with AIDs affected teens, their caregivers, and clinic staff, giving voice to their discontents and becoming an integrated part of their support networks, as according to confidentiality and informed consent best practice. - Designing, organising and running a series of therapeutic and research related 'body-mapping' camps, incorporating workshops, as outreach to educate AIDS-affected young people about their health, treatment histories and HIV positive status. - Aiding in the design, content and translation of the quantitative questionnaire (research tool). - Training volunteers to run the quantitative interviews of teenagers in a variety of community settings, including clinics, and camps, reaching the goal of 600 interviews in 4months. - Researching intervention literature and working with young people to develop an adherence ‘tool’ i.e. an intervention to change risky behaviours. - Introducing a series of social grants leaflets which are now available in two provinces in South Africa.       - Organising and project managing 'TAG’ (Teen Advisory Group) Camp 2014, a consultative research project run in collaboration with the University of Oxford, UNICEF and the South African Department of Health. - Working with 20 AIDS-affected teenagers to consult them on their health care experiences and practices through group programmes and activities that I designed. - Delivering key health care interventions to these vulnerable teens, as well as leading the teens in non-consultation related activities. - Filming the teens as a training tool to show government, UNICEF, international funders and future health workers the teenagers’ views on what constitutes best clinical practice: the film was used by UNICEF in its conference on nursing practice throughout the region. - Facilitating a session where younger TAG participants wrote to the Director General of Health expressing clinical best practice.
