  I helped coordinate what was expected from us in accordance to safety while on job sites. The crew could go to two to three different jobs a day and each one would usually be under a different general contractor. I also helped run the toolbox talks in the morning, inspect all the equipment before and after usage, and helped do the job hazard analysis for the work we were doing.

  I am currently working as a Safety Coordinator on the Oroville Emergency Spillways Recovery project in Northern California. My duty is to help grow the safety culture on the job site and to positively influence the safety behavior by being a safety leader. My daily duties consist of: Frontline Supervisor training, giving new hire safety orientation, creating new policies that are needed on the jobsite, supporting operations in the field, organizing safety audits for the crews in the field, incident investigation, case management for incidents, and promoting OSHA regulations while understanding the regulations.
