  In this leadership role, managed all aspects of the corporate Technology department including maintenance and improvement for technology infrastructure, both operational and capital budgeting for company-wide technology expenses, management of 15 staff members while controlling operational costs. Specifically, during this period, made significant enhancements of our electronic data platforms for the collection, analysis, visualization, and reporting of environmental and geotechnical data and made very significant improvements in cybersecurity platforms with no reportable cybersecurity incidences during this time period. Some of the other achievements included:• Formed the company-wide Technology Advisory Group (TAG) to propose and support technology initiatives and data management projects utilizing both environmental and geotechnical data.• Built a high-functioning data management team to develop and launch the Environmental Data initiative using the web-based Earthsoft's EQuIS and Quire's Automated Report Writing Platforms. • Led and funded the mobile field data collection initiative by eliciting stakeholder buy-in and leveraging and engaging employees which saved thousands of hours in field and office review time on hundreds of projects with the execution of Windows, IOS, and Android tablets to collect electronic data using pLOG, gINT Mobile, EQuIs collect, ArcGIS Collector, Survey 123, and others.• As the acting Chief Information Security Officer, fortified and expanded cybersecurity platforms with the implementation of next-generation firewalls, advanced active desktop threat protection system, top tier e-mail and web content filtering software, and multi-factor authentication with no reported breaches in five years.• Successfully conducted multiple Enterprise Agreements with Microsoft, Canon and others. Show less In addition to the above efforts, implemented multiple projects while fortifying and augmenting cybersecurity platforms, replacing a multi-point Multi-Protocol Labeling System (MPLS) network with a Virtual Private LAN Service (VPLS) network. Specifically, performed the following activities.• Consolidated multiple (25) SIP voice trunks in two (2) SIP trunks configured with auto-failover. Unified 2400+ Direct Inward Dialing (DID) numbers funneling multiple SIP trunks into two SIP circuits (with auto failover). • Led multiple managed print service negotiations to improve and consolidate network printing and copiers across the organization saving $250,000 per year. Simultaneously, implemented APIs that automated print/copy cost recoveries producing over $500,000 per year from 2003 to 202o (pre-pandemic). • In support of the strategic plan to improve company-wide communication, specified and installed wide-screen HD monitors and associated AV equipment in over 40 conference rooms. An early adopter of ZOOM video conferencing.• Installed multiple private and public internet and voice circuits, including hiring and engaging contracts. Up until March 1997, managed the growth (from 1 to 25 employees) of a district office for GZA Remediation (subsidiary of GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc.). During that time, was awarded and managed as Program Manager a $25 million dollar contract with the Defense Fuel Supply Center (a division of DOD) responsible for the environmental assessment, cleanup and/or demolition of 4 bulk fuel storage tank farms in Newport, RI, Newington, NH and both Searsport and Casco Bay, ME, Also, was awarded and managed multiple multi-million contracts with the US Postal Service and the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) for engineering design and construction services.   During my role as a Technology Consultant, supported a major environmental and geotechnical engineering firm with the evaluation and complete overhaul of their Wide-Area Networks (WANs) to increase performance and prepare for migration to Teams Dialing. While increasing network performance typically by between 500% and 1000%, reduced annual cost by 30% annually. As a part of these efforts, consolidated multiple vendors/invoices and support the migration of Direct Inward Dialing (DID) numbers to Tier 1 providers with fully redundant SIP circuits and/or Session Border Controllers, saving typically an additional $60,000 annually. Support the maintenance and updating of their new website (bigparkcouncil.org) and other technology initiatives. Member of the Media Committee. Recently implemented OWL’s AI-enabled audio video technology to support hybrid meetings and Zoom’s Companion AI for recording and drafting monthly meeting summaries. Tested and now using ChatGPT for drafting local newspaper articles.
