    • Montana Conservation Corps

      May 2013 - Nov 2013
      Trail Crew Member

Working and living with the same six people for six months. I had one of the best experiences of my life living and working in the backcountry woods of Montana. I was able to work closely with private and federal land officers on projects including critical habitat challenges caused by fencing, erosion, invasive plants, and forest fire. As a crew, we created safe trails and access to some of the nations' premier wilderness areas, national parks and forests. During the winter months, we worked with low-income families by weatherizing their homes to conserve energy. Overall, it was one of the best jobs I will ever have. Show less
