  Here I worked as a teacher of English, English Literature and Media Studies. I worked with both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 with responsibility for creating schemes of work and appropriate resources. I have also implemented a new GCSE in Media Studies, which I co-wrote and fully resourced from concept to realisation. I was promoted to Assistant Director of Learning with full responsibility for the Media Studies Department.   As my first international post I began working at CES as a classroom English teacher. Here I gained experience of working with EAL international students from many countries from around the world. I work with KS3, KS4 and KS5. I have also got experience of working with the IB programme of study. During my time at CES I have taken on the role as the Head of the English Department, and feel this has fully enriched my teaching experience.

  This is my second international post. This is a new school to Hanoi and I have been instrumental in the opening and ‘setting up’ of the complete English curriculum. The school started small with only years 7 – 9, but doubled the intake in the first year, with year 10 IGCSE English Literature and first and second Language now being fully in place.
