  I managed the day to day running of the in-house design studio of a toiletries and home fragrance manufacturer and supplier. I was one of the senior designers prior to this, which encompassed the design and development of all aspects of seasonal gifting and single item products within the toiletries, cosmetics, home fragrance and accessories markets for the following high street retailers and supermarkets:M&S, Next, Boots, Harrods, Sainsbury's, Dunnes Stores, Tesco, Superdrug, Agent Provocateur.My role as studio manager was to ensure all design briefs were delivered on time, keeping accurate digital and hard copy records, updating studio schedules regularly, keeping all departments informed of project status and overseeing the artwork sign off process prior to final artwork being sent to printers (across many continents).I built up good relationships with suppliers, printers and clients alike.   As studio manager I looked after my own design projects, oversaw the workload and managed the team of designers and the picture editor (responsible for the extensive photo library and commissioning of all external photographers). The in house studio are responsible for the design and branding of 90% of the Estate's marketing collateral across all of it's 26 diverse business areas. That encompasses design work for its many 365 day businesses to it's world famous events. I liaised and worked with various stakeholders across the estate, and kept abreast of work flow using Wrike (project management software). I designed and played an integral part in the re-branding of various bars and hospitality areas at the racecourse and areas such as the Drivers Club and new drift arena 'The Arena' at the Festival of Speed. I planned, organised, wrote briefs, cast models and actors, bought props and art directed the photographers and videographers for various photo shoots required around the estate either on event, as part of a 365 business area (motor circuit, golf, weddings, menu launches) or as part of a headline event, creative campaign. Show less The Goodwood Estate is a 12,000 acre estate in the heart of the South Downs National Park. It's home to world class motor racing events held at its historic Motor Racing Circuit, a six furlong flat Racecourse, Hotel, restaurants, Health Club and Spa, two Golf Courses, an Organic Farm, a Stately Home and an Aerodrome. I worked on the design and branding of a wide variety of marketing collateral across all 26 business areas of The Goodwood Estate. Design work for its many 365 day business areas to it's headline events...The Goodwood Revival, Festival of Speed, Member's Meeting and Qatar Glorious Festival. I worked on design for print items such as brochures, posters, leaflets, invitations, postcards, menu’s, tickets, signage, new branding projects and more, the list is extensive. Non print design from e-shots to digital billboards. I was part of the retail steering group and helped to design and develop some of the ranges of clothing, homewares and accessories for the Goodwood shop and it’s online store. Show less From the various acting roles came other work at the Goodwood estate. I helped the hospitality, GRRC and GAC membership teams, and with the information team on event.I worked with the Aerodrome customer facing team, helping those people who come to Goodwood to enjoy trial flying lessons. Clients who keep their planes at Goodwood, those that fly in to the aerodrome and corporate, team building days.I hosted Ultimate Driving days at the motor circuit which were either retail customers, corporate or private clients. They involved welcoming clients, being a host / attending to their needs and managing their expectations for the day. Making sure they were legally signed on, briefed and kitted out for their relevant activities.Skills required for both the above roles involved being well presented, polite and personable, thinking on your feet, a team player and being organised and efficient. Discretion and to be able to liaise with HNWI's and VIP's with ease.I have an extensive knowledge of the Goodwood brand and estate. I used the following software within the various departments; Adobe Creative Suite (design studio) Delphi (hospitality), CRM and Talent (GRRC, GAC and sales team), Red Atlas (Aerodrome). Show less
