      Initially, I prepared geological samples from hand specimens to powder. I gained experience operating various equipment and machines: diamond saw mill, rock crusher plates and tungsten mill with strict adherence to WHS and predominantly unsupervised.Afterwards, the rock samples were further processed using SelFrag pulse disintegration, the Frantz Isodynamic Magnetic Separator and heavy liquids separation, in order to find zircons.

      University Placement

      This placement was for a university subject, where the aim was to complete a number of university assignments and integrate a practical and professional component into my degree. During my placement I prepared some powdered rock samples for geochemical analysis, and primarily conducted a literature review, in a professional setting.This was an opportunity to advanced my research skills and the ability to synthesis through diverse data and sources.
