As a network, our aims were to implement artistic processes into the curriculum of excellence and investigate ways of using art and making processes as part of a multidisciplinary learning strategy in primary schools. As a member I contributed to think tanks projects, individually and cooperatively designing and delivering workshops. This build my confidence in how to actively reflect on my artistic practice and how to create transdisciplinary modes of making. I would regularly conduct stock checks, liaising with outside associates concerning deliveries and taking reservations for private events. During this employment I gained advanced experience in the consumer industry. I feel I can work under pressure and to a deadline, dealing with multiple tasks.   As an International teacher in Shunde, Foshan, China. This employment at an IB certified school has enriched my teaching practice.The IB ethos is centered around an idea rather than a planned curriculum, students through the Inquiry process will shape their own learning. The organic ways of teaching in IB interlink subjects together and place value a multidisciplinary learning process. Pupils are taught to be lifelong learners. To value each other and the world around them. Through my time is this position I attended a number of external and in house trainings, where members of the International and Chinese departments collaborated to revise and critically evaluated areas of the IB curriculum through peer assessment process.I have built confidence in my lesson planning, delivery and assessment skills, by working other more experienced members of staff, gaining knowledge and experience in the IB inquiry process. I have achieved this by shadowing lessons and attending official IB training for example an external seminar at Hong Kong Academy for early years development - 'Building Block for young learners.'   My role is to assist the education department to design Art and creative activities for the resident art space, based on the current contemporary exhibitions. The activities aim is to engage to general public in contemporary art; contextualise their surroundings, locality and identity, and to promote making processes in art that challenge political and social agendas.Most recently I have designed and delivered a series of in primary school workshops surrounding an artist featured in the British Art 8. Using ideas from my own artistic practice. 'Hidden Landscapes' addresses, the relationship between science and art and how using the processes of making can we disseminate the world around us? The workshop uses microscopic images and photography of Leeds Art Gallery, using abstract shaped carefully selected using both images, which are then traced onto a safeprint tile , to create an monoprint 'Hidden landscape' .   During my time at John Smeaton Academy i have been learning more about assessment process, lesson planning and responsibilities that a teacher has to their pupils.As a art department volunteer and printmaking specialist, I have been assisting with class set of up and taking small groups, in key stage 2 and 3 in printmaking instruction, working also with individuals with their artistic practice, drawing and painting skills.   After volunteering for six months I was given more important role as a visitor experience assistant. My duties were to discuss and explain work in a palatable way, I enjoyed the people orientated atmosphere. I also was to insure that the artworks were respected and stay undamaged. This role very much refined my communication skills and tested me in many situations where tact and empathy where needed to negotiate a situation to a have positive outcome.   As part of the management team, I help in all aspects of running the business; As a Deputy I am expected to be able to run the business in my store managers absence, I assist in the areas of staff training putting my strong customer service skills and talkative nature to deliver excellent sales results, as well as sharing my passion and skills with other sales associates mentoring them through the sales process and building their product knowledge.Many of my other duties are more administration based, assuring that during trading hours all the appropriate health and safety and risk assessment are complete and active.
