  During my time as a Customer Service Assistant at Somerfield, I successfully adapted and responded well to the Somerfield – Co-Operative Food acquisition that took place in early 2009. As well as being able to remain an integral part of the team for the new store, I was given a variety of tasks which included the training of new colleagues in preparation for the store opening.

  As a Customer Team Member, I was responsible for a range of duties with the ultimate goal of ensuring each customer felt valued on every visit. • Working within a store with an annual turnover of around £3million, a variety of tasks were delegated to me on a daily basis. As a flexible, multi-skilled employee I could be expected to work early in the morning for start-up processes, or late evenings for the busiest trade period and the end of day / close-down processes.

  As a Store Lead I was regularly left to manage a £5.2million turnover per annum convenience store. During these periods my responsibilities included but were not limited to;• Prioritising and Delegating work to a direct team of 23 employees.• Sole responsibility for ensuring compliance in all health and safety, trading standards, age restriction laws and the other legal legislations that govern the operations of the store.• Managing the payroll information for the stores 27 full and part time employees.• Full responsibility for the Inducting, Training, Development and Coaching of the team members on duty, as well the Colleague Performance Reviews (CPR)’s of my own personal team of 8 employees. • Ensuring full adherence to all policy and procedures relating to discipline and grievance. • Representing the Manager and delivering the high store standards at all times whilst liaising with Area Management and Area HR Management during operational store visits. • In control of ordering and budgeting for non-food items essential in the running of the business, whilst achieving our corporate budget targets.   Football administrator (discipline)

  As a Football Administrator working within the discipline department in one of the larger County FA teams, my responsibilities include but are not limited to;• Processing all forms of disciplinary issues including; cautions, dismissals and extra-ordinary incidents using Microsoft’s CRM package, CAS and The FA Whole Game System.• Support and liaise with the Discipline Manager when investigating complaints received by the County FA whilst ensuring all cases of alleged discrimination and assault are escalated to The FA within the required time frame. • Expert knowledge of The FA’s regulations and able to explain these to all stakeholders of the business, including referees, clubs, players & leagues. • Act as secretary on both personal and non-personal hearings whilst being responsible for ensuring that the acting discipline panel adhere to sanction guidelines and discipline regulations. • Lead the department in the Discipline Manager’s absence, ensuring that quality of service isn’t affected during these periods whilst reporting directly to the County Operations Manager. • Essential that I attend both Operations Team meetings and Discipline Committee meetings to ensure uniform understanding within the discipline department and the wider operations team.• Liaise with both the RDM & RDO when discussing issues concerning Match Officials across the county, providing expert Whole Game System knowledge to referees when required to do so. • Present The FA’s Respect Education Workshop to large groups of club representatives when required as part of their automatic sanction if found guilty of misconduct whilst involved in youth football. • Offer expert knowledge and assistance to all other departments including development and welfare within the County when required to do so, assisting during busy periods such as Club Affiliation. Additionally, the Football Administrator will undertake general administration tasks necessary to ensure the high quality delivery of the strategic business priorities.• To manage all County Cup competition entries.• To co-ordinate an effective and efficient administration structure for the all County Cup competitions.• To ensure all County Cup competitions are fulfilled in accordance with Manchester County FA Competition Rules • To administer all competition match cards, referee marks and results.• To complete all referee appointments to ensure all County Cup competitions have a registered official(s). • To complete all referee appointments to ensure professional club academies have a registered official(s). • To complete any referee appointments requested by a member club or league. • To ensure that all Club/League tournaments/festivals and competitions are sanctioned in accordance with FA Regulations.• To co-ordinate the annual League Sanction process ensuring all member leagues are sanctioned in accordance with FA Regulations.• To support the Membership Officer with new member applications and renewals including verification, payment and receipts via The FA’s Whole Game CRM System.• To administer, with the support of the Membership Officer the membership programme and offer support to new and existing members as follows: general email and telephone enquiries, advice on types of membership, and benefits as well as member eligibility.
