  I work with Specialized rail cars. Job duties include:• Record & inspect rail cars as they come in for any and all defects in accordance with AAR Field Manual and other Rule 1 Publications• Create work orders and input information regarding repairs needed for each car if necessary.• Manage fleet of rail cars (400+)• Travel to destination of railcars when a car has been damaged to catalog repairs needed and instruct.• Create invoices for the billing department when a car has been repaired.• Perform five-year preventative maintenance inspections on Department of Defense rail cars.• Input components of new cars into the RailInc.-Umler system• Communicate with local railways to ship railcars to the intended destination. • Create and execute internal audits.• Work with DCMA on BMPI Purchase Orders• Use knowledge of various government specifications/procedures for work on Department of Navy Railcars• Familiar with NDT testing procedures• Knowledge of Government forms/inspection reports for DCMA/BMPI orders• Package/schedule shipments for BPMI(Government)• Create grant submissions to the State for upgrades to the company facility site Show less
