  HC Oranje-Rood is ontstaan uit de fusie tussen EMHC (opgericht in 1921) en MHC Oranje Zwart (opgericht in 1935). De officiële oprichtingsdatum is 1 juli 2016.In september 2016 werd het nieuwe complex in gebruik genomen. Met 4 watervelden, 1 semi-waterveld, 3 zandvelden, een speel- en trainingsveldje voor de jeugd, ruim voldoende kleedkamers, een gezellige bar met verschillende zithoeken, een tweede verdieping 'Lounge12' en een tribune met ruim 1500 plaatsen beschikt de club over een modern en zeer compleet complex.De nieuwbouw is gerealiseerd door bijdragen van drie partijen: de provincie, de gemeente en de voorgangers van HC Oranje-Rood, EMHC en MHC Oranje Zwart.Per januari 2017 telt HC Oranje-Rood ruim 2500 leden waarvan het grootste deel (1600 leden) in de jeugd speelt op zaterdag. Op zondag beoefenen nog eens 900 senioren en veteranen met veel plezier de hockeysport. Show less
