The group consists of Gwinnett Teacher of the Year finalists, Milken Award teachers, and other highly-qualified teachers throughout the county. Commonly, the select individuals are the leading candidates for instruction at their particular… Voir plus The district Superintendent of Gwinnett County Public School’s teacher advisory council (TAC) is a group of teachers from across the district that meets to discuss how decisions made at the district level are affecting teachers in Georgia’s classrooms. The group consists of Gwinnett Teacher of the Year finalists, Milken Award teachers, and other highly-qualified teachers throughout the county. Commonly, the select individuals are the leading candidates for instruction at their particular schools within the district. The teachers meet several times throughout the school year with the county's Superintendent and are advisors that act as liaisons between the GCPS Department of Education and the teachers of Georgia. Past topics discussed by the teacher advisory council include: Georgia Performance Standards, Georgia Performance Standards Training, discipline, teacher mentoring, teacher induction, improvement of graduation rates, advancement in technology, stellar facilities, testing, curriculum, and parental involvement.​​ Voir moins
