  MIPS (Millions of instructions per second)The bank was being charged a fee per consumption of CPU usage which was measured in a unit MIPS. The project was a TCS initiative to optimize the CPU usage time for different transactions and Batch jobs. We listed some Batch programs and transactions which used to consume highest CPU time. It involved multiple domains. We started by setting a Trace on all the jobs and transactions which were to be analysed. After analysis we got the exact queries which were consuming more CPU usage and which can be optimized. FINO (Financial Statements) - The FINO project includes reporting the financial overview and Tax reporting to the customer. These are the legal obligations from the tax department to the Bank.Wonderwall (Merging of ABN AMRO and RBS bank) - The project deals with Merging of ABN AMRO and RBS banks. The ABN AMRO contracts were to be transferred to RBS bank databases and upon successful loading of the contracts the ABN contracts were deleted. Show less

   It is one of the mainframe modernizations projects where the legacy system (M204 on mainframes) of the client was to be migrated to Pega systems via Reverse Engineering. The approach followed was a combination of Top-Down and Bottom-up where rules were extracted from the source code as part of bottom-up and functional rules were created as part of top-down approach. Both the technical and functional rules are then merged, and business rules are shared with Pega systems for development. Responsibilities includes planning the overall approach, validating the iSAT output from Averisource, rules extraction and converting the rules to user stories and hand over to Pega. End to end responsibility of rules extraction for various functionalities and creating a functional flow out of it.  Acting as a scrum master/delivery lead for the data modeling, data migration and API’s team. Show less  The bank was a new customer for Infosys, and I was working as a Transition manager to help facilitate the transition to Infosys team and start development/support of the bank’s applications. Was working as a technology lead for Open Banking and PSD2 project and acting as an onsite coordinator. (Open banking was a regulatory requirement as part of UK and PSD2 for European banking. As part of it Restful API’s/Micro Services were created and the data on mainframe was accessed via stored procedures). Responsibilities included delivery of mainframe team of 10-12 people managing end to end project deliverables using scrum methodology. Involved in design, development, maintenance, support, performance tuning and documentation of applications on mainframe systems. Assisted team in database and application tuning for optimal performance, loaded and refreshed non-production databases for application testing. Support the implementation by resolving complex technical issues faced by the IT project team. His responsibilities include coordinate and facilitate sprint/release planning meetings, daily stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives and demos.
