  Supply chain management internship

  As SCM intern, I mapped and analyzed the material and information flow of some Supply Chain Management processes in order to identify improvement opportunities that guarantee a more continuous and efficient flow. The projects were developed under the DMAIC methodology and specific Lean Six Sigma tools were used for each stage. Through the Lean Six Sigma principles, alternative solutions that reduce wastes in terms of transportations, inventories, time and operative costs were developed.   As Business Planning Analyst, I performed different tasks related to the supply planning and inventory management. I monitored the customer orders and the security inventories daily to guarantee material availability, keep the stock levels and minimize the excess. During this time, I also developed tracking inventory tools in order to reach high visibility and control of the excess and product cycle life.
