  Work Experience

  Worked at Alstom for two weeks for Work Experience at Golders Green depot and Morden depot. Transport for London (TFL) handed northern line to Alstom for maintaining and operating the line. The objective of this work experience was to observe how all the different departments from operations to engineering to sourcing and supply chain work in a fast pace environment. The technical knowledge of the trains was also gained by learning on site and going through the documents available.

  • Generated cost-effective concepts for the current hydrogen injection kit, potentially achieving a 50% cost reduction and reducing lead time.• Led the design of converting the company’s first 500-bar tube trailer from manual to pneumatically controlled. Performed engineering calculations, and component selection along with producing technical documents such as P&ID.• Successfully reached the design freeze milestone for the world's first dual-fuel tug boat. Played a key role in the meticulous design of the vessel's hydrogen tube work and protective covers for tank stillages.• Responsible for performing in-house FEA analysis for various projects based on requirements from classification bodies and standards such as Regulation (EC) No 79/2009 and Regulation No R134.• Responsible for designing sheet metal parts, frames and structures using box sections and hydrogen fuel system using valves, tanks, quick connectors and hydrogen tube work of up to 500 Bar using compression fittings for marine and land-based applications.• Performed 3D scanning and postprocessing for custom-made body panels for on and off-road vehicles.• Worked closely with the supplier of genset canopy to optimise the design of zero emissions 40KW genset. Presented concepts to the supplier and helped in reducing the internal canopy temperature by up to 300C.• Responsible for maintaining the manufacturing BOM and technical documentation for converting base vehicles and vessels to dual fuel.• Collaborated with cross-functional teams to conceptualize and refine product concepts.• Participated in formal internal design reviews of proposed products and components.
