  Focus: Simulated conditions experienced by vehicles in hypersonic flows (e.g. a capsule re-entering the atmosphere) to improve current predictive tools used in spacecraft design• Conducted extensive Monte-Carlo simulations using Fortan and processed several terabytes of information to create databases for flow modeling, resulting in significant improvement over presently available computational models• Used machine learning tools, such as nonlinear regression, in MATLAB to find trends in databases and interpolate for missing information, hence reducing computational costs in data generation• Developing an artificial neural network algorithm, using Python and Tensorflow, to accelerate a process that takes several weeks and hundreds of cores on a supercomputer Show less

  Focus: Built the tools for and ran the long term strategic planning efforts for manufacturing for a $550M business1. Created a dynamic tool using Google Sheets and Google App Script (javascript) to aggregate the company’s sales and the production capacity in order to forecast the achievable fulfillment for the next 16 months. This tool is used daily by over 100 users across the Finance, Marketing and Operations teams, and facilitates strategic decision-making, such as pulling the right levers to achieve the company’s Dec 2021 $60M EBITDA target2. Developed a model for forecasting the lead time that a customer will face on orders being fulfilled each day. This model is used to inform and optimize orders allocation to each active plant across the country3. Created a dynamic tool to automate the suggestion of products to pre-build, using historical data, for large sale periods.
