  I did spend +10 years at department at Tetra Pak we we were procuring large quantities of renewable polymer made from sugar cane from a polymer suppliers I managed. There was much focus from us and the suppliers to face the environmental challenges of the polymer and packaging industry. Many initiatives are ongoing with mechanical recycled polymer, chemical recycled polymer, and renewable polymer.The work did give the opportunity to visit the Tetra Pak production plants as well as polymer production sites to work side by side next to the production lines with them. The work was executed according to Tetra Pak project management principles and reported to different types of steering groups. I have expertise in plastic materials, manufacturing of plastic components and packaging. The skills I have acquired in leading the type of activities mentioned above should however be applicable in any organization working in a multinational context. I was supplier manager for a number of polyethylene and polypropylene suppliers of Tetra Pak. These suppliers are very big companies and located in Europe, Asia, Middle East, South America and the USA. The day to day work consisted of management of internal and external stake holders, different follow ups, handling of quality issues as well as supply disruptions. This work required a great deal of coordination as the interdependence of the parties involved was very big. Technology changes at polymer supplier or Tetra Pak meant big changes at the other party. I did perform a few supplier audits on quality and food safety aspects every year. It was the BRC packaging and ISO 9001 standards that were our references when performing the audits. Show less

  My task at RISE was to identify obstacles to why we do not recycle more plastics and to drive activities to increase the recycling. The objective was to create a sustainable value chain through collection of the used plastic, washing, sorting, pelletisation, conversion to the final plastic part to the sale of the plastic component manufactured by recycled plastic.I was furthermore active as sustainability coach and support external clients in BCP matters (Business Continuity Planning). I was part of the unit "Resurser ur Avfall" (resources from waste) at RISE, Research Institutes of Sweden. My task was to study the value chain of plastics from virgin plastic pellets to the end of life as it is today incineration. I was to identify obstacles to why more plastic is not being recycled and drive activities to increase the recycling rate.
