      • A national role that assists the Senior Product Support Manager in the development of new and existing asphalt products that are key to business strategy, from inception to successful long term profitable establishment.• Identify and evaluate new materials and production development by liaising closely with suppliers and regions and carrying out plant trials and lab assessment.• Supporting the operating regions with trials and the introduction of new and improved products by providing technical guidance and problem solving skills.• Manage internal and external documentation such as Quality Plans, Contractor Guides, Case Studies and Brochures.• Work closely with the marketing team to produce technical documentation and support literature for the proprietary asphalt range.• Work with the BBA to gain accreditation of new products and maintain accreditation for existing range.• Provide technical support to local authorities and external customers ensuring new products are accepted for use.• Run and provide a product knowledge training course which has seen over 300 internal staff attend to date.• Proficient in the use of various software in this role such as JMP (statistical data analysis programme), RHEA (analysis of rheology data) and Page Tiger (producing interactive online content for brochures, training modules etc...).• Within this role I have gained a comprehensive knowledge of asphalt materials and their production with a good understanding of technical and commercial operations.• Attended an internal Sustainability training course gaining valuable experience including how to produce Carbon Footprint data for various products and knowledge of BIM and EPD. Technicians from other areas of the business were also trained in the laboratory on week long courses. • Part of a team that held Open Days to external laboratories and councils demonstrating the wide range of testing carried out at the National Laboratory.• Set the workload for technicians in four different sections within the asphalt laboratory and would assist with any issues faced. • Involved in a wide range of Research and Development projects assisting the Technical Centre, working to tight deadlines.• Would regularly communicate with customers, keeping them up to date with their testing and any issues faced being responsible for reporting and sending out results to both internal and external customers.• Experienced in site work including coring, texture depth and PTV testing.• Built good working relationships within the National Laboratory and Technical Centre.• Gained an excellent knowledge of asphalt products and their applications including experience in blending various mix designs.• Attended the Newcastle University Asphalt Materials and Pavements residential course in 2011.
