  The research aimed to enhance patient outcomes by using personal data from health trackers and smartphones to detect early symptoms of COVID-19. I developed an Android and iOS application, deploying machine learning models on EDGE computing devices to differentiate between COVID-19 and influenza symptoms. These models, developed using XGBoost and Neural Networks, utilized data provided by WVU. Additionally, I served as the project lead for interactions with MobVoi, a China-based smart health tracker manufacturer, collaborating on a new device inspired by CMU’s input. Show less

As part of my research and development, I devised a methodology for job and skill analytics by applying machine learning models such as BERT using data from various sources including job boards. This effort involved the creation of an innovative dynamic skills taxonomy to map skill demand for a job analytics platform called Jobverz.

  • Developed, debugged, tested, and documented numerous Catastrophe (Cat) models as part of the product development process.• Designed model data files and code workflows in accordance with user stories, requirements, and design specifications.• Optimized the performance of various models by reducing their analysis run times.• Researched code review tools such as Review Assistant and TFS, gaining valuable insights into the review request process. Participated in code reviews, improving skills in writing scalable code and adhering to coding standards and methodologies.• Worked collaboratively within Agile Scrum teams to enhance and support continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.• Worked closely with product managers, researchers and scientists to understand the technicalities of the Cat models.• Acquired substantial hands-on experience with SQL queries to analyze and explore data files.• As the one-click admin for the team, acquired a thorough understanding of core and RAM ratios necessary for environment setup, and became proficient in creating and migrating environments to the new portal, Anvil.
