  Physician Extender/Certified Athletic Trainer to William N Levine, MD; Chairman of Orthopedic Surgery at NYP/Columbia University Medical Center, Former Team Physician for Columbia University Athletics, Associate Team Physician for New York City Football ClubMember of Clinical Team that consists of a Nurse Practitioner and Certified Athletic Trainer. Responsible for the set up of office hours, including chart prep and set up of rooms prior to start of day. Help facilitate office flow with other clinical team members, including rooming patients, taking new patient histories and entering meaningful use into EMR system, placing orders (X-rays/MRIs, Physical Therapy, DME, patient referrals, etc.), patient education, suture removal, set up of injections (cortisone, viscosupplementation, PRP), surgical booking paperwork and any other duties that are needed during office hours. On administrative days, responsible for attending weekly indication & technique conferences, organization of received faxes and sorting accordingly to be scanned into the patient's charts. Answering phone calls and emails on daily basis to maintain proper communication between patients and Clinical Staff/Physician/Fellows. Assist in scheduling appointments. Communicating with various members throughout the Hospital and other Medical Facilities on a daily basis.Former responsibilities: coordination of all Columbia University Athletic Department Student Athlete care between the Athletic Training Staff and Team Physician including appointments with Orthopedics, other specialty providers, MRIs and other radiographic diagnostic imaging, assist in booking surgical cases and post operative patient education and care, along with communication with Athletic Training Staff members on a daily basis.
