Growing up in Toledo, Ohio, I was always a runner, and I would run through one particular park 95% of the time. The park was called Ottawa and it is beautiful. This park is symbolic because it bridged the area where I grew up, with what felt like, limited options and access to the areas where there were options and access. This is the park I've been symbolically running through my entire life - bridging communication gaps, creating options and processes that are additive and unique to each organization, helping build cultures and atmospheres where people enjoy coming to work and can tap into their strengths and gifts, all while contributing to the organizational mission.
