  While conducting PhD field research in Dili I taught IELTS preparation courses for shortlisted scholarship students. I also designed and taught a course for Timorese workers who had applied for the Australian government's Seasonal Worker's Programme (SWP) to work in the agriculture and hospitality industry in Australia, and I developed a Tetum-English picture dictionary.

  I managed relationships with institutions developing online courses on FutureLearn, including the universities of Melbourne, Auckland, Cape Town, Manchester, the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) London, Keio University Japan, The Shanghai International Studies University (SISU), and Hanyang University, as well as Amnesty International, Cancer Research UK, and UNESCO Montevideo. I organised the 2019 APAC Partners Forum at the University of Melbourne in December 2019, the 2019 Educator Meetup at the UCL Knowledge Lab.   I provided design consultancy services for online and blended learning experiences, and advised on digital transformation in higher and further education. Recent clients include the London School of Architecture, QA Higher Education, London Interdisciplinary School and City Lit.At the London School of Architecture I worked with subject matter experts to design the first 'Part 4' online and blended modular, practice-based professional development courses on heritage and fire safety, applying good practice in human centred design and collaborative learning.At QAHE I worked with a small team of academics, content producers and learning technologists to develop the pedagogic principles of an 'optimally blended' learning experience. We produced a 9 week course entitled 'Navigating Your Career', which aimed to maximise the affordances of different modes of learning both online and face-to-face, as well as synchronous and asynchronous interactions.   I worked with the Education team – with members dispersed across Portugal, Timor-Leste, Papua New Guinea and Australia – to bring the first courses to the Bero online microlearning platform. I worked on courses for the Kumul Helt Skul program for Angau Hospital Papua New Guinea, and the Australian Committee for International Agricultural Research program ACIAR Learn, for learners across the Asia-Pacific region and beyond. I developed the learning design principles for microlearning on Bero in collaboration with the Catalpa education team, and advised on early product developments. Show less

  • I conduct course quality reviews based on WHO Academy's standards, providing feedback to SMEs and designers.• I create support resources for Learning Designers and SMEs, developing best practices for online course quality.• In February I helped prganize and co-facilitated a workshop on localizing courses with 25 participants at the Academy's inaugural conference in Lyon.
