  Stay-at-Home Parent

  With three young children and being the primary parent, I made the tough decision to pause my career to be a full time parent. I knew I would not get that time back with them and was fortunate to have the opportunity to do this. I would have preferred to work part time, but this was not an option for me at Amgen at the time. I hope in the future, we are more open as a society to parents who want to both work and raise children AND not go crazy working more hours than there are in a day. Hybrid work schedules are awesome and I hope that is a good solution for those with life situations that need the flexibiltiy. Show less
