  At Lidl’s headquarters, I spent six intensive months in various subdivisions in rotation (Sensory Evaluation; Product Quality Development; Food Analysis; Import) within Lidl’s Food Quality Assurance International Purchasing Department.I was able to gain a multitude of valuable skills sets and relevant knowledge throughout the various challenging and interesting roles I undertook, this included:• Led and organised multiple test-tasting projects and adhered to tight deadlines. This involved evaluating potential products suitable for sensory tests, designing and operating the sessions using FIZZ sensory software, coordinating food preparation with sensory laboratory, presenting results to participants and clients.• Gained a better understanding of the food sector through monitoring trends and development weekly in the field of nutrition and food technology. Presented my findings in weekly team meetings and received good feedback from team members.• Developed strong interpersonal skills through engaging with international suppliers regularly to review food product data and supply chain and to ensure documentation was accurate.• Analysed and documented test results of food products from test laboratories and ensured all analysis parameters were product relevant and that they corresponded to the required scope of testing.
