      Power Engineer:Possess over 10 years of experience in power generation industry. I am currently a 2nd class power engineer, progressing on my 1st class papers. I specialize in biomass energy and am employed at Whitecourt Power as a shift engineer in the operations department. My long term goal is to continue specializing and growing in biomass power generation.H&S Adviser:I specialize in setting up safety programs, leading teams to an actively growing safety culture, injury reduction, annual reporting and statistics, OH&S requirements, and COR certification requirements. I can effectively evaluate a company's existing program to determine gaps and areas for improvement. Due to my full time employment at Whitecourt Power, I do not seek consultation jobs at this time, but am always able to offer assistance as an adviser to people in the industry needing help with issues that fall under my range of expertise.For over 6 years at Whitecourt Power I am responsible for coordination of H&S department needs in conjunction with management team: Monthly safety meetings, H&S committee establishment, accident/incident investigations, annual reporting to stakeholders, recording of H&S statistics, annual internal audits for maintaining COR, site inspections, relevant program administration (hazard assessments, procedures, policies), contractor compliance coordination, claims management assistance, etc.Town Councillor:Currently an elected official for Mayerthorpe Town Council (Since October 2017).
