      I started my career here in 1980 and worked till 1989 in Power cell. I was involved in system design, specification preparation, Technical evaluation and Vendor drawing review Power Cycle Piping, Fuel Oil system, Cooling Water and Miscellaneous Pumps, Air Compressors package for 210MW Coal Based Power Projects I also learned stress analysis package& hanger design and applied to Power Cycle Piping.

      From 1989 to 1994, I worked in Durgapur Steel Plant modernisation Project, India – Basic Oxygen Furnace Package (Mannesmann Demag, Germany led consortium). I was responsible for co-ordination, resource planning and detailed engineering of the following utility and fluid systems packages along with Equipment selection and sizing, Piping layout and Stress Analysis, Bid evaluation, Vendor drawing review, erection supervision and start up.

      From 1995 to 1997, as a Lead Engineer, I was responsible for supervision, engineering including Stress Analysis, Hanger Design, Procurement of Piping specialities and Pipe Supports and leading the team for detail engineering work for various Chemical Projects like Hindalco Alumina Digestion Plant, Phosphoric Acid Concentration Plant. In addition, I also worked as a “Lead Engineer – Piping” in Chiyoda Methanol/MTBE Project, Qatar. In this Front End engineering, I developed conceptual Plot plan, Pipe rack routing and design and guided a group of 40 Designers/Engineers for developing Large Bore Piping layout drawings. In addition, I also developed Piping specification based on the thickness calculation, Valve list and Speciality Item list. Based on the Large Bore piping layout and Piping specification, MTO was prepared for cost estimate based on basic package.       I was in Bechtel from 1997 to 2007.From 2003 to 2007, I worked in Oil &Gas EPC Projects( 3D model in PDS) as a Lead Engineer (Piping) and successfully delivered about 5000 Isometrics in each Project. In addition, I took responsibility of Dy. Chief Engineer in Piping and helped in Recruitment, E-Engineering set up, developing Engineering guides, Off Project review and technical audit.Here, I completed my “Yellow belt” in “six sigma” by making several process improvement proposals for Piping Design and reducing Model review cycle time.For 2002-2003, I was transferred to “International Bechtel” at Bahrain for working on Alba Line 5 Aluminium Smelter Project, Bahrain as a Responsible Engineer (Mechanical) role for one year. Here, I completed “Project Management workshop” in June 25-28, 2003.From 1998 to 2002, I worked in various Power Projects (mainly Combined Cycle) as a Lead Engineer (Piping) and was responsible for supervision, engineering, coordination, model review ( 3D in 3DM package), prepare and maintain change orders, resource planning and leading the team for New Delhi portion of job (about 40-50% of the total job,1500 Isometrics in average) for completion within schedule and budget. I joined Bechtel in 1997 and worked in Jamnagar Refinery Project, India as a Lead Engineer (Refinery Tank Farm area and utilities), I was responsible for design, development, 3D Model review in PDS, Checking & Supervision for Process and Fire water piping layout and Issue Isometrics(2200 nos. in Refinery Tank Farm area.       SENIOR PRINCIPAL PIPING ENGINEER

      I have worked in Future Growth/Wellhead Pressure Management Project, Kazakhstan (FEED and Detail engineering Project-$36.8 billion) for last six (6) years(2014- 2020 June) in the Piping core team as a “Piping Specialist” in developing Piping Work Instructions, controlling Piping Materials scope and deliverables, budget and change order, and Material Management. Also led the team to develop, coordinate and review documentation required for piping to complete “Technical Project Documentation (TPD)” with “Regulatory Affairs (RA)” team to fulfil the Construction work permit approval. I also engaged in workshare and engineering coordination with New Delhi office.Before this, in Worley, I also worked in various Oil & Gas onshore & Offshore Projects as a Lead Engineer in PRE-FEED, FEED and Detail engineering ( 3D model for Detail &FEED Projects in PDS/PDMS) and was responsible for leading, supervision, coordination and providing technical directions for all piping activities to ensure safe operation of Plant , by providing guidance, reviewing and monitoring of activities and by following One-way procedures including SEAL, guides and safety codes at every stage of project. In most of the projects, developing the Plot and the Piping for safe and proper operation was a challenge due to a very limited space in existing plant. In my tenure in Worley, I qualified as a” Fellow in Institution of Mechanical Engineer, UK” and as a Chartered Engineer from Engineering Council, UK. I also completed Aviva E3D training for Equipment &Piping in August 2020 and Lead Engineer’s training in November 2012 here. Show less
