      I have been involved in the -levels with the co-ordinator of T-levels at the time since 2019 in prepartion of running it in 2020. I have been part of board meetings with Baker Dearing Trust, DFE and the UTCs in preparation for the new T-level in Digital including the employer engagment for the apprenticeships with a colleague at my school. My involvment in the feedback processes and help in preparation of the resources and delivery of this course has encouraged and enhanced my subject knowledge and understanding of this new course. Show less I have been working at the Leigh UTC as a computer science leader/ 2ic, in the department where I am incharge of building and running of a completely new IB MYP curriculum which is suited to our new feeder school (inspiration academy). As a KS3 coordinator in my role I work with 4 other members of my team to help them run the new curriculum smoothly and to achieve the best out of and for our pupils. I also currently mentor a computer science KMT trainee who is improving from where he started with no experience of teaching to delivering good lessons. as part of the 2020 initiative of T- levels I work closely with my head of department and have been in consultation with the head teacher, planning board and external bodies when the process had started early on in 2018 in London. As part of wider school level and community level development I have been working with personnels at Nucleus to make ties between UTC and the business community around us to collaborate in bringing the innovation in the community by arranging school trips and liaising with business manager at the Nucleus to form apprenticeship and work experience opportunities for our KS5 pupils. Currently two of our year 12s have been provided with a challenging opportunity to be an apprentice at KBC networks should the candidates successful have an attempt to finding a solution to the challenge. Three of our pupils from same group have been offered work experience where they will be programming and testing devices at primary schools working with HUG group. I closely work with my director of Computing in problem solving, assessment, moderation and any innovation in the department that will help our pupils learning such as working on the server room dedicated for our pupils to ensure its integrity for its use for hands on experience by our pupils. I am dedicated to one lesson a week of learning walk to ensure best learning experience provided by minimising disruptions during learning. Show less
