      • Awarded grant to produce original human rights research under the direction of Professor May Sim, in which I analyzed the thought of Aristotle and the Confucian philosopher, Mencius, concerning human nature in order to provide an array of cross-cultural, conceptual resources for the current debate among scholars surrounding notions of human dignity. • Conducted an in-depth examination of primary works such as Aristotle’s “Politics” and “Nicomachean Ethics,” as well as the works of Mencius to arrive at a comprehensive understanding of the role of human nature and virtue in their political thought. • Analyzed modern scholarly work on philosophical conceptions of human dignity and the role that it plays in human rights frameworks. • Created graphic research poster and video presentation for Weiss Summer Research Symposium.       • Instructed 200+ K-6 students at Fu Yuan Primary School in Chishang Township (臺東縣池上鄉福原國民小學), an underserved rural Indigenous region in Northern Taitung County.• The Fulbright Program is the U.S. State Department's flagship international academic exchange program which has fostered mutual understanding between the United States and other countries since 1946.• Prepared course materials, developed a tracking program for student progress to identify student weaknesses, and conducted internal reviews of English department offerings, leading to an effective reorganization of department structure.• Developed 75+ unique lesson modules to complement Education Bureau-approved ESL textbooks and lesson plans to establish a more holistic, communicative, and interactive learning experience for students.• Raised student test scores by 15%, improved student retention and advancement in ESL courses.• After co-teacher was promoted to principal, assumed full course load and teaching duties for 10+ classes.• Designed and implemented Fu Yuan's first before- and after-school ESL programs for select classes to complement in-class learning and provide English language learning opportunities to 200+ students who did not have access to Buxiban programming due to economic constraints.• Developed the English Department's first student success tracking program, allowing teachers and administrators to observe trends and engage in targeted instruction to address areas of improvement. • Advised and implemented special programming for 20 students selected to compete in the county's annual English competitions, resulting in Fu Yuan advancing students to final competitions. • Created and taught new Global Citizen elective classes that explored cross-cultural communication and learning.• Developed and co-taught a bimonthly weekend ESL glass in Guanshan Township ( 關山鎮) for Bunun students of the underserved Kanding Village at Kanding Baptist Church.
