  •As a senior member of staff has lead by example in ensuring all training, coaching and leadership is done to the highest possible standard. This has been done through regular self evaluation, consistently learning new skills and techniques and applying them to practice.• Working as a line manager for instructors. Assisting in their personal development and any arising issues at work. Supporting the instructors in any difficulties they may have in their day to day work. Problem solving and providing answers to various enquiries about how to do their job as best they can.•Training staff and customers in a range of courses including: safety and leadership, coaching and teaching basic and technical skills in a variety of outdoor education courses. This includes implementing a range of teaching styles and methods, from Power Point presentations to hands on practical activities and from self discovery learning to visual demonstrations and theoretical explanations.• Overseeing the quality of the services being carried out through regular observations on instructors, giving feedback and discussing how to overcome various challenges. This includes engaging with instructors in such a way to make them feel comfortable with recognising both their strengths and weaknesses and creating a plan to build on them.• Organising successful fundraising events to raise the profile of the centre and bring in funding for projects. This includes motivating and inspiring people to give up their own time and help for a good cause.• Liaising with a variety of professionals and stakeholders inside and outside the organisation to discuss factors such as best practice, community links, future development and business proposals. Show less • Responsible for the delivery of a variety of activities including: teambuilding, paddle sport, climbing and abseiling, high ropes, bush craft, archery and many more. All these activities have a variety of learning outcomes including: leadership, communication, negotiation, working effectively with others, stimulate and inspire to promote motivation, self confidence, achievement, new skills and independence, improve resilience and self belief, and develop the ability to deal with times of uncertainty and also understanding of risk and how to cope with it. Plus learning outcomes directly linked with the activities themselves.• Apply a variety of core skills to effectively lead groups on sessions including: leadership, patience, empathy, clear communication, dynamic risk assessing, enthusiasm and motivation, providing a warm friendly tone, negotiation, various teaching and coaching skills, people skills plus many more directly linked to the activities e.g. rope skills• Responsible for delivering activities to a wide range of customers including: corporate groups, schools, colleges, intervention schemes for children with behaviour difficulties, people with special needs, complex needs or impairments and also people from various cultures and backgrounds.
