  I became a nurse with the intention to take care of moms and new babies. I feel like this is the best place in the hospital to work! I am skilled in labor and delivery, postpartum care, and normal newborn, as well as circulating for and and recovering cesarean section patients. My personal focus is on helping all of my patients have a positive birthing and hospital experience and feel that I have given them the care they expected when they came to our facility. I love educating them on the birthing process and breastfeeding. Show less The beauty of nurturing your baby inside your body is continued after birth, as you establish a breastfeeding relationship. Breastfeeding is not only nutrition, it's a safe-haven for your baby, a place of warmth and comfort, a way to bond with you for a lifetime. I use evidence-based methods as I teach parents-to-be about the "whys" and "hows" in prenatal class. After birth, I assist moms and babies as they work to establish breastfeeding in the first hour of life and throughout their hospital experience. Show less

  After the birth of my 4th child I was blessed to stay at home for about a year as a full-time mom! When it came time to return to work, I started part-time at BBMC and continued teaching Childbirth Education at Casa Grande Regional Medical Center (now Banner Casa Grande). My duties were the same as listed in the Banner Casa Grande section.

  I love to share essential oils with young families! As a mom of 4, I wish someone had shared them with me earlier. Essential oils make parenting so easy. They are a safe, cheap, and very effective way of dealing with so many discomforts and daily challenges children (and their parents) face. I'm here to share the news that you can use healthy, natural tools from nature to give your children the best start in life!Why does this nurse love essential oils??? Because I have learned that these potent oils which protect and promote health in plants can do the same thing in our bodies without side-effects and addictions. AND...I love that more and more research is proving their effectiveness through the chemical properties they each have. These cannot be duplicated in the laboratory. Bottom line is that they just work and science is proving this! I want to help people find relief and I know that essential oils are a healthy, natural, safe, inexpensive and convenient alternative.
