      - Effectively manage 70+ direct reports including Unit Techs, RN Is and RN IIs. -Responsible for overseeing a 36-bed high-risk mother/baby unit in a hospital with 12,000+ deliveries a year. -Responsibilities include operating effectively within budget, keeping employees engaged, maintaining patient safety standards, scheduling for staff, ordering supplies. -Facilitate a department based Patient Experience Committee which has led to an increase from 85% to 92% patient satisfaction scores within a year by incorporating nurse-led changes with evidence based practices (example: bedside rounding, intentional hourly rounding, etc). -Chosen by leadership to attend Patient Experience Conference and AWHONN Conference in 2016. -Chosen to speak at Nursing Leadership Academy for other nurse leaders at Parkland to share best practices for patient experience and employee engagement on our unit.-Unit scored highest in WISH department for NDNQI survey- scoring higher than averages of our hospital, Academic Medical Centers, and Magnet Facilities in most categories.-4.20 employee engagement score in 2017 by Press Ganey. -Selected for pilot PLEDGE program (Parkland Leaders Engaged in Development and Growth for Excellence) January- December 2017-2017 Crowd Favorite Poster Presentation for National Patient Safety Week for poster showing PDSA for purposeful rounding initiative to increase patient satisfaction and improve patient safety. -member of Employee Engagement Task Force- a hospital wide multidisciplinary task force committed to improving employee engagement and creating a positive work environment. -member of Nursing Leadership Academy Rewards & Recognition committee- responsible for recognizing hospital leaders for milestones, presentations during monthly leadership learning events, and creating events that improve morale within leadership.
