  Develop partnerships with a wide range of government, private sector, non-profit, volunteer, and community/faith based groups through local Community Organizations Active in Disaster, local and State Citizen Corps Programs, and Missouri VOAD. Writing plans for the State Emergency Operations Plan, specifically for Mass Care purposes. Instruct courses in Mass Care and Functional and Access Need populations. Initiate planning for the state’s holistic recovery, including the Community Planning and Capacity building Recovery Support Function. Participate in exercise development and resulting after action reviews for disaster Response and Recovery. Provide outreach and education to local organizations and community representatives to create local programs to aid in community response, recovery and preparedness in emergencies through presentations and providing resource materials. Respond to State Emergency Operations Center’s Human Services function during exercises and actual events. Act as SEMA liaison to all Recovery Support Functions. Participate in numerous committees regarding the development of doctrine and policy for Case Management, Access and Functional Needs, and state coordination with the National Disaster Recovery Framework. Provide peer review for Citizen Corps Grant program grant applications. Participate as Missouri’s representative for Recovery Framework implementation. Show less

  Review, update, and maintain the Health and Human Services Department Emergency Response plan. Ensure Department Plans and activities meet the requirements of the Public Health Emergency Preparedness Grant. Serve as the primary point of contact for all Medical Reserve Corps activity, including recruiting and retaining members and ensuring members have appropriate training. Develop and implement exercises for Points of Dispensing. Act as a liaison to the Local Emergency Planning Commission, convene the county Health and Medical Emergency Planning Group, and member of the Regional Health Care Coalition. Was a member of the team that prepared documentation for the Public Health A Board's review of the department for re-accreditation. Prepare and maintain the business continuity plan for the department. Show less
